Founded in 2024 by digital artist Kiki Wu and film director Davis Chang, Ø Studio is an award-winning AI creative studio specializing in integrating emerging generative AI tools into short films and new media art. Infusing AI-generated images and videos with a human touch, Ø Studio envisions an inspiring future where humans and machines coexist harmoniously. With a unique blend of experimental visual styles and a warm sense of humor, Ø Studio's AI experimental short films The HØST, Black Høle, and Ørigin have received numerous international recognitions, including selections for the FILE International Electronic Language Festival in Brazil and the NUDO Festival in Spain. Ø Studio’s films have also been presented as case studies by the AI Film Academy at Sotheby's Institute of Art. Ø Studio’s Black Høle has received many awards, including Best Cinematography and Best Sound Design at the 2024 Amsterdam AI Film Festival in the Netherlands, as well as Best Editing and Best Sound Design at the 2024 AI International Film Festival in San Diego, USA. It also earned the Best AI Animation title at the 2024 Meta Morph Award. Their latest project, Ørigin, which delves into the complex power dynamics between humanity, nature, and technology, won Best Art Direction and the LensGo Sponsor Award at the Project Odyssey AI competition.
